Finally had a break from exams, and decided to try MB for the first time.

    3/18:
Fished from around 9:30pm-3:30am and ended the day with 15, with most of them being dink spotties and sand bass, and the biggest was a 12" spottie. All of the fish were caught drop shotting a gulp sandworm.

    3/19:
I decided I wanted to go back to MB in search of some bigger fish, so I met one of my buddies out there again and tried one more time. Got there at around 7:00pm and started off drop shotting the sandworm again only to get 3 dinks. Then I decided to switch to a 3" big hammer, and was rewarded with a 14.5" within a few casts! Ended up fishing until 11:00pm and ended with 8 (3 dink sand bass, 1 dink sculpin, 3 spotties around 12", and the 14.5")

While fishing, I hooked into something really big. I was able to get it close to the rocks, until it decided to swim off to the left and snapped me clean off. All I saw was the ripple on top of the water that lookrd pretty big. Any ideas what it could have been?

Maybe a halibut if the line was cut clean, or it's possible it was an angel shark, although pretty unlikely.

Depends on the tone of the laughter as it swam away. A high pitched, clown-like laugh could be a Halibut. But a deep, dark Satan laugh points to some sort of ray. LOL Honestly....I don't have a clue but I swear I hear them laugh when it happens to me.
