Sorry this report isn't from SD. Not sure if there are rules against that or not. However, I have been reading this forum for awhile now since I started fishing for LMB. Only been at it for a few months...but I have picked up a lot of good knowledge and wanted to contribute.

Although not SD, this is near and the weather/conditions are similar so thought it might be a helpful report.

BEDS!!! They are bedding down for sure. 1st fish came sightfishing a bed less than 10 ft from shore with the headlamp. Pissed it off with a jig/craw for 10 pitches or so and then swapped to a weightless senko that got the job done.

This would end up being the only fish i pulled out of a bed however the buddies got another 6 or so off beds that night and I saw plenty more.

2nd fish stuck with the senko only t rigged and furter from shore, but still pretty shallow.

3rd fish was the biggest of the night and my PB so far. Not a monster but a solid pig. Deeper water on a keitech swing impact fat 3.8". Slow retrieve on the bottom. The guys i was with called it a 4 lb'er easy. But we had no scale and im still too new at this to call it myself. All i knows its my biggest so far hah.

4th fish was caught the same way as the fish above.

Was a good time with good friends. Cant wait to get down to SD and get out on a rental boat and put in some time on the water down there down there.

We will accept foreign reports. ;) This is obviously not a SD City lake because we cannot fish at night! :banghead: Not SD, but where?

Haha, thanks for the hospitality. I'm afraid, I will have to keep my lips sealed on this one. I would like to continue to be invited back ;-)

Is that the lake where they have all the water and stuff, and there's some fish in it? You know which one I'm talking about?

    You're on to me...

Friends biggest of the night. Check out the broken rod he caught it on....slipped early in the night trying to get a monster out of the water and broke it right above the reel. After 30 min of being thoroughly pissed he proceeded to catch 5 more on the broken rod including this one.

I think we should be able to fish at night. What's the big deal? Just more useless rules in our police state.

Always thought the same....sometimes that's the only time I can fish so I'm stuck going to the bay or the river...since we're fishing reservoirs I don't think they care about the money they'd get from anglers by letting us fish nights...
