    17th is good for me.

Final cost? What does it entail?

Does it include tip? I suggest padding the bill to include a tip for the crew, perhaps $10.00 from each person.

I vote to leave the slip by 6 at the latest.

Whoa there, didn't see that. I've scheduled so the boat leaves at 5:30AM.. We also now have two empty spaces... Lurkers, rise from the deep!

Edit: Shyt, I meant one empty space, one empty slot left!

Thanks for the tackle recommendations folks. Sounds pretty standard. Looking forward to this.

I have never bought the Mexican licence. Gonna try and make it down sometime next month to pick one up. What would the best place be, squidco?

Also, probably gonna make a day of it and roll down with my buddy who is also going on the trip. Figured we would fish Mission bay while we are at it, maybe rent a skiff from Dana. As it gets closer and we figure out what weekend we are coming down I will throw it out there if anyone wants to meet up.

So when do we need to pay? I would expect that several people may 'commit' but when the time comes they may not show. If they have 'skin in the game' at least the rest of us aren't stuck paying for the no shows......

I had some extra time yesterday, and I was able to go get my passport renewed, so it's been 2 years since I did a 3/4 day trip and at that time you didn't need a passport so do you just show it to them or what is the procedure? But it appears I'm ready to go I just have get my other rods out and start thinking of what to bring.
I thought I would mention the passport thing in case others don't know that you need one now.

Yep. How it typically works is that you bring in your passport and some other form of ID along with the fishing licenses when you finish your transaction. They way we are doing it is that we simply bring in the passport, licenses, some form of ID, and I'll check you off.

Yes passport cards are good for land and sea only. Not flying

So here's what I'm thinking as far as payment goes:
Currently a down payment needs to be payed that is 50% of the final charge. I'm thinking about using PayPal to create a collective charge that I will then hand into the landing to cover the down payment via check. After that and 2 weeks from when the trips starts (also the lockdown date for those that have RSVPed) I will then create a second collective charge that will cover the rest of the price of the trip, and hand it in during the day of the trip or a day or two beforehand to be safe. The reason I'm inclined to use PayPal is that for those who decide (even though they RSVPed) not to come that day, the rest of us don't have have to make up the price of your ticket. Everything has been set up for a while now, and the only acceptions would be if there was an accident or something went wrong. I will send the link to he PayPal account to everyone through a PM and have people send back a image showing they payed their dues on a separate PM so it's easer for me to keep track.

Trip or Ticket? I was going to send the prices for the deposit and final as PM, but it will cost $83.35 for the ticket and another $13 for the Mexican daily permit.
