Lake Murray Fish Report – 11/21/16

  • Lake Murray received its first trout stock of the season on 11/16. Trout are being caught, but more importantly for most bass fishermen, it’s time to pull out the big swimbaits.

    Catfish are still active in late afternoon from the fishing pier and north shore. The panfish bite is slowing down but limits are still being caught by some anglers.

    Notable Catches

    • Nate Steward of San Diego caught 3 trout on November 16th fishing from shore with Powerbait
    • Kevin Hart of nearby San Carlos caught a 9.8 pound bass on the 16th while fishing a swimbait in Padre Bay
    • Carlos Gomez of Chula Vista caught 2 catfish from the fishing pier on the 18th while fishing with mackerel
