The water is starting to warm up and fish are a little more active because of it. There have been reports of bass
being caught on crankbaits and spinnerbaits, as well as the usual plastic arsenal. As always, live shiners are the easiest way to hook-up.
Ger Lee of Sanger, making his first trip to Lake Murray, scored a 7 pound bass while throwing a swimbait west of the boat dock on Friday.
Even the catfish are a little more active, with a 6 pounder being caught on a crankbait this week by Josh Stewart of San Diego.
Panfish are sitting in deeper water, but they will get closer to shore as the water continues to warm.
