Lake Murray Fish Report – 4/9/17

  • The water temperature is 70 degrees. The water level is back up, the algae bloom is almost gone and the lake looks great!

    Bass are still spawning and anglers are hooking up on crankbaits, swimbaits and as always, live shiners are very effective. The panfish bite is sporadic but they are feeding when you can find them. Catfish are being caught in late afternoon on the fishing pier and the northwest shoreline.

    The Bass Club of San Diego held a tournament on April 8th. Their 17 anglers caught 54 fish. Miller Marks caught the biggest fish at 6 pounds. Jesse Gofigan has the heaviest bag at 9.85 pounds.
