  • The bass bite has been good with small to medium sized bass being reported. The bass can be found near structure and respond best to crawdads, shad raps, or dark colored plastics.

    Crappie can be found in the early morning. Crappie prefer the cover of shade and are most often caught on crappie jigs or live golden shiners.

    Catfish are biting more frequently as the lake heats up. Chicken liver and cut mackerel are both highly productive baits.  Stop by the ranger station for a dough-bait recipe that does well with the catfish.

    Park hours: 6:00 A.M. – 7:30 P.M.  Open seven days a week.
    Dock closes: 7:00 P.M.
    Last Plant:  1,500 lbs of Rainbow Trout Wednesday April 22nd.
    Next Plant:  3,000 lbs. of Channel Catfish Wednesday July 1st.
    Water temperature: At surface 71.24 f., 8.44 D.O. @ 10’ 70.54 f., 5.16 D.O.
    Water level:  Low level, private water craft are currently banned.
