can be found throughout the lake. The final catfish plant of the summer is on Friday providing excellent conditions for the first week of August. Cut mackerel and chicken liver are the top baits for cats. Stop by the ranger station for a dough-bait recipe that is excellent for catfish.
The bass can be found lurking around structure and respond best to crawdads, shad raps, or dark colored plastics.
Crappie generally prefer the cover of shade and are most often caught on crappie jigs or live golden shiners. Bluegill are being caught more frequently than in years past.
