Dixon trout season, derby, postponed indefinitely

  • Dixon’s first trout stock of the season, scheduled for this week had already been cancelled, but the reservoir had hoped the water temperature would come down enough to get trout into the lake ahead of their scheduled trout derby November 8th-11th.

But they announced today that the lake’s surface temperature was still over 76 degrees, more than 6 degrees higher than it needs to be to ensure a successful stock. Once the water dips below 70 degrees they’ll be able to get trout into the reservoir, and kick off their trout season. The trout derby will be rescheduled at that point.
