  • These photos (courtesy of the city of San Diego’s digital archives) were taken in 1968 from the day that San Vicente opened to the public for fishing. San Vicente Reservoir is currently closed for it’s dam raise project, which has been completed.

Currently, construction on a brand new marina is ongoing, but expected to be completed sometime this year.

The lake will reopen when we receive enough rain to fill the lake up to the point of the new launch ramp. That opening day might even be more anticipated than the one in 1968!
