#10 – George Kramer
Lake Elsinore’s George Kramer has made a career covering the sport of bass fishing, with a particular emphasis on bass tournament anglers in the western region of the United States. A member of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, Kramer is famous (infamous, if he doesn’t regard your fishing prowess as highly as you do) for his annual California Top 40 Bass Anglers List — where he takes on the impossible task of ranking the 40 best bass anglers (not just tournament anglers) in the Golden State. The 2015 edition of that list is due out in a couple weeks (see kramergonefishing.com).
Ironically, his tournament resume this year is going to put him right beside some of the names he’ll no doubt acknowledge in that list this year. But since I’m going to bet he’s not brash enough to pen his own name there, we’ll go ahead and anoint him the prestigious honor of being #41 there. And numero 10 here.
Kramer’s top 10 resume included an 8 tournament campaign this year with his son Michael in the San Diego Team Day Series which was headlined by a win at El Capitan in April and 3 more top 5 finishes. George also ponied up the big bucks to take on the best bass angler in the west at Lake Mead in the US Open, where he finished in the top half of the pro field.
George is a “free agent” in 2016, looking for a capable partner to tackle the Anglers Marine Owners Invitationals and San Diego Team Day Series next year. If you’re looking for a partner, get in touch.
