The Fred Hall Show touts itself as “The Ultimate Outdoor Experience” – collecting exhibitors and entertainers from the fishing, boating, hunting, shooting, and travel industries together for the oldest and largest outdoor consumer tradeshow in San Diego.
Anglers Marine, a focal point of the local bass fishing scene since 1981, will have a strong presence at the show with a large layout of beautiful boats and outboards marked down to their lowest prices of the year. Many anglers put off the purchase of their boats until the show, where they can take advantage of boat show rates and promotions offered from both the dealers and manufacturers. So if you’ve been kicking around the idea of a new boat or outboard, now really is the time.
Anglers Choice Tackle, whose Point Loma location on Rosecrans is packed wall to wall, from floor to ceiling with top San Diego fishing tackle selections will also be on hand. You can bet they’ll have some of the hottest selling products available in the whole show, especially for saltwater and bay anglers.
For freshwater anglers, East County Bait and Tackle of Lakeside will also be represented at the show. In addition to always having the hardest-to-find lures, ECBT offers one of the most knowledgeable staffs you’ll ever find. Stop by their booth, tell them you’re from sdfish, and maybe they’ll clue you in on some of those top-secret bass bites San Diego is known for.
The ECBT booth will have another treat for showgoers and fans of the popular television series Wicked Tuna. One of the stars of the show, Paul Hebert will be on hand with his brother Bruce (also featured on the show) to raise money for the Friends of Rollo Charity.
Speaking of staffs; you’ll find none more friendly than the men and women that make Lake Jennings one of the most hospitable fishing destinations in the county. No other lake puts more effort into the quality of their fishing program than Lake Jennings. If you’re not a regular at Lake Jennings, swing by their booth and find out more about the fishing and camping opportunities they afford. Lake Jennings is only minutes from El Cajon, but it feels like hours once you’re there.
Major manufacturers will also be on hand to introduce you to their product line, names like; Shimano, Power Pro, Seeker, Daiwa, Okuma, River2Sea, Avet, Accurate and many more will all be represented at the Fred Hall Show.
In addition to the boat and tackle exhibitors, there are lots of attractions that are fun for the whole family. For the family, check out the trout pond (kids fish free), big air dog jumping competition, soft air gun ranges, Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, or Great American Duck Races.
And another aspect of the show that makes it the attraction that it is, is the extensive list of seminars available all four days of the show. Several seminar stages are set up throughout the grounds, including both a freshwater bass and saltwater bass tank. Click here for the list of seminars and their schedules.
