Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Cactus Patch has cooled as the trout have moved out towards open water. The water between the boat dock, the fishing float and Eggert Point produced trout for trollers and those who fished crawlers 6 ft. under a red and white bobber. There was a good bite on the bass but it is mostly male. Lots of big girls are being seen but their lips are sealed. Some fry are being protected by males. The crappie, red ears and cats are staging in the shallows.

Best Trout Spots: Cactus Patch and the Cactus Patch.

Best Trout Lures / Bait: Chartreuse Gulp and Power Bait on a 4’ leader.

Best Cat Spots: The floating boathouse and dam buoyline.

Best Cat Bait: Bring mackerel or mackerel.

Best Bass Spots: On the bank and in 15 ft. of water off the points.

Best Bass Lures /bait: Dropshotting 4” worms. Swimbaits and white jigs. Water Temp. 63 to 64 degrees

Notables: No fish over 3 lbs reported or limits in 30 minutes.

Prognosis: Mt. Lassen will deliver 1200 lbs. on Friday. The new moon should kick off the next wave of spawning bass. We are seeing crappie in the trees and under the fishing float.
