Hello from Your Lake Jennings:  Trolling for trout has taken an upswing. They have moved out past casting distance from shore and are best found  between the boat dock, fishing float and buoyline triangle. Bright colored Needlefish and Rapalas are the ticket. The bass are in the brush and tules. Dropshotting worms in the brush are best.

Best Trout Spots: the boat dock, fishing float and buoyline triangle.
Best Trout Lures / Bait: Needlefish and Rapalas for trolling and nightcrawlers 6’ under a bobber.

Best Cat Spots:  The floating boathouse and dam buoyline.
Best Cat Bait:  Bring mackerel or mackerel.

Best Bass Spots:  On the bank in 5 ft. of water in brush and under trees.
Best Bass Lures /bait:  Dropshotting 4” worms. Swimbaits and white jigs.
Water Temp. 63 to 64 degrees

Notables:  No fish over 3 lbs reported or limits in 30 minutes.

Prognosis: Mt. Lassen will deliver our last 1200 lbs. of trout on Friday. Cats and red ears are being caught on the bank.

Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be at the Fred Hall Show this week.
