Hello from Your Lake Jennings:  The hot trout bite continues to be localized at the Cactus Patch. Try the eucalyptus trees at Cactus Patch. There was a great bite on the bass until Friday and then it picked back up on Sunday. The ones  being caught are mostly males. The big girls are hiding. Some fry are being protected by males. The red ears and cats will be moving into the shallows soon.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Great News! Starting next Friday March 14th we will be open every day thru Easter from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Just in time for the best fishing of the year.  Bass are definitely in the mood. The lake rose 3.5 ft. last week and that left most of the bass exploring the newly flooded brush. Some that had already started nesting did so in deeper water where they cannot be seen. The trout bite was extremely localized. The eucalyptus trees at Cactus Patch was the only spot that produced fast and furious trout limits.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The only bite worth mentioning is the bass bite though most anglers that are targeting this fish are not having much success. The reason: The bass want deep and painfully slow retrieve with lots of dead stick time. The trout bite crashed this week. Some limits came fast on Friday, after that you had to work for a couple of fish. A few cats came to trout anglers on the Hermit buoyline. Beyond that no one was really targeting those fish. Crawlers have been best.
