Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The hot trout bite continues to be
localized at the Cactus Patch. Try the eucalyptus trees at Cactus
Patch. There was a great bite on the bass until Friday and then it
picked back up on Sunday. The ones being caught are mostly males. The
big girls are hiding. Some fry are being protected by males. The red
ears and cats will be moving into the shallows soon.

Santee Lakes Fish Report: 3/17/08 - 3/24/08 |

|
A couple of 11 lb rainbow trout headlined the week's action at Santee Lakes. Large trout are being caught out of lake 3. Bass fishing is picking up, although no large fish were reported caught this week. The next stock will be April 4th, consisting of 1,000 pounds of catfish.

Poway Lake Fish Report: 3/16/08 - 3/23/08 |

|
The fishing
improved this week, it is slow in the mornings but the bite improves in the
afternoon. A lot of the trout being caught are in the 2.5-4 pound range. The
shoreline is open for fishing in the curtain area. The water continues to be
murky as a result of the recent storms. Best bait is Night Crawlers and best
lures are Rapalas. The catfish bite is good along the Log Boom. The bass bite is
improving with a lot of bass moving around along the shorelines. The water is
now at 59 degrees. The bluegill bite is still slow.

thru Easter from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Just in time for the best fishing
of the year. The trout bite continues to be localized at the Cactus

caught but most are males. The big girls are hiding.

 Trout season is coming to an
end. The last stock of Rainbows arrived
last week and was split between lakes 3 and 4. Don’t forget about the Lightning
Trout. Come catch yours before they’re all gone.
