David Holley of Santee headlined this week's report from Santee Lakes with a 6 lb 1 oz bass caught out of lake three. Catfish will be stocked on April 11th.

Lake Jennings Fish Report: 3/24/08 - 3/31/08 |

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Cactus Patch has cooled as the trout
have moved out towards open water. The water between the boat dock, the
fishing float and Eggert Point produced trout for trollers and those
who fished crawlers 6 ft. under a red and white bobber. There was a
good bite on the bass but it is mostly male. Lots of big girls are
being seen but their lips are sealed. Some fry are being protected by
males. The crappie, red ears and cats are staging in the shallows.

The Bass bite is steadily improving with the water temperature
around 68. Mostly smaller males close to shore. Try swim baits and
crank baits parallel to the shoreline about 5 ft. out.

Poway Lake Fish Report: 3/23/08 - 3/30/08 |

The fishing improved this week with some limits. The bite is better in the
afternoon. A lot of the trout being caught are in the 2.5-4 pound range. The
shoreline is open for fishing in the curtain area. The water continues to be
murky. Best bait is Night Crawlers and best lures are Rapalas. The catfish bite
is good along the Log Boom. The bass bite is improving with a lot of bass moving
around along the shorelines. The water is now at 60 degrees. The bluegill bite
is still slow.

City Lakes Fish Report: 3/17/08 - 3/23/08 |

Ramona's Lake Sutherland proved to provide bass anglers the best bite of the City Lakes. 100 anglers were checked, who reported a total of 258 bass caught. The largest bass reported was 5 pounds at Sutherland. The largest overall fish caught this week was a 15.55 pound blue cat, also caught at Sutherland. Del Lambert of Ramona caught the fish on mackeral.
