Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We thought that the hot days would cool
the trout bite; surprisingly it didn’t . Trolling for trout is good
between the boat dock and the fishing float. The Cactus Patch from a
boat using Power Bait or Gulp The bass are in the brush and tules.
Dropshotting worms in the brush are best. Some redears are spawning but
the main run has yet to occur.

Lake Poway Fish Report: 4/6/08 - 4/13/08 |

Over
600 anglers fished the annual Lake
Poway Open Trout Derby on Saturday and Sunday, April 12th and
13th, 2008. A hot, windy weekend and a stock of over 4900 pounds of
trout including trophy size up to 16 pounds provided a challenge for everyone.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Trolling for trout has taken an
upswing. They have moved out past casting distance from shore and are
best found between the boat dock, fishing float and buoyline triangle.
Bright colored Needlefish and Rapalas are the ticket. The bass are in
the brush and tules. Dropshotting worms in the brush are best.

Poway Lake Fish Report: 3/30/08 - 4/6/08 |

|
 The fishing was tough this week with some limits. The bite
is better in the afternoon. A lot of the trout being caught are in the 2.5-4
pound range. The shoreline is open for fishing in the curtain area. The water is
starting to clear up. Best bait is Night Crawlers and best lures are Rapalas.
The catfish bite is good along the Log Boom. The bass bite is improving with a
lot of bass moving around along the shorelines. The water is now at 62 degrees.
The bluegill bite is still slow.

David Holley of Santee headlined this week's report from Santee Lakes with a 6 lb 1 oz bass caught out of lake three. Catfish will be stocked on April 11th.
