 This week's fishing highlight at Santee Lakes? A ten year old captured her first trout, and what a beast it was!
FISH REPORT
WEEK OF: December 31, 2007
TROUT:
- Tessa Vaca age 10 from Lakes caught her very first fish coming out to be a 9lb and 6oz trout on power bait out of lake 3.
- Bob Mutten caught an 11lb 5oz trout out of Lake 3.
- Eli Serrana pulled an 8lb 5oz trout out of Lake 3 on a mini jig.
- David Alan Gregory caught a 5lb trout out of Lake 3 using night crawlers.
- Samesh Ramom caught a total of 3 fish out of Lake 4., two weighing in at 7lbs and the third at 4lbs 5oz off of power bait.
Night Fishing (registered campers only, lakes 6&7)
** No California State Fishing License required to fish at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.
Fishing Permit Fees
- Adult (ages 16 and over) $8.00 per day
- Junior (ages 7 to 15) $5.00 per day
- Second fishing pole stamp $3.00
*One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
