Santee Lakes Fish Report: 12/31/2007 - 1/6/2008 |

Big rainbow trout are once again the focus at Santee Lakes, with yet again a 10 plus pound fish being reported.
TROUT:
- Javier M. of Chula Vista landed a 6 lb. 7 oz. and a 5 lb. 13 oz. Trout out of lake 4 on kastmasters.
- Emily Hreha age 11 of Lemon Grove caught a 6 lb. 11 oz. Trout out of lake 4 on nightcrawlers. This was her first big Trout.
- Robert Lagrimas of San Diego caught a 10 lb. Trout out of lake 3 on a kastmaster.
- Gerald Schible of Santee caught a 10 lb. 4 oz. Trout out of lake 3 on chartreuse powerbait.
- Sarah Heath of Santee caught a 6 lb. 12 oz. Trout out of lake 3 on an inflated nightcralwer and chartreuse powerbait.
Night Fishing (registered campers only, lakes 6 & 7)
** No California State Fishing License required to fish at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.
Fishing Permit Fees
- Adult (ages 16 and over) $8.00 per day
- Junior (ages 7 to 15) $5.00 per day
- Second fishing pole stamp $3.00
- *One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
