Trout continue to be about the only consistent bite at Santee Lakes. There were several more quality trout caught this week, topped by a 7 pounder.
TROUT:
- Brad Baker of El Cajon caught a 5lb 4oz. Trout
out of lake 4 with Power bait along side his dad Tim Baker who caught a 6lb
trout out of lake 4 also using power bait.
- Raymond Paul of Santee caught a 7lb trout off of Chartrase out of
lake 3.
Night Fishing (registered campers only, lakes 6&7)
** No California State Fishing
License required to fish at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.
Fishing Permit Fees
- Adult (ages 16 and over) $8.00 per day
- Junior (ages 7 to 15) $5.00 per day
- Second fishing pole stamp $3.00
- *One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
