FISH REPORT WEEK OF: February 25, 2008

BASS:

• Michael Garnica of El Cajon caught a 2 ¾ lb. Bass out of lake 4 on a Phoebe spinning lure. This fish was released.

All Bass are mandatory catch and release.

TROUT:

• Jason Rentis of El Cajon caught a 7 lb. Rainbow Trout out of lake 4 on rainbow powerbait.
• Ed Decoteau caught a Golden Lightning Trout out of lake 4 on chartreuse powerbait.
• Bob Walker caught a nice rainbow Trout out of lake 3 on Rainbow powerbait.

The LAST Trout stock will arrive on Friday, March 14th. 1,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout will be split between lakes 3 and 4.

CATFISH:

1st Catfish stock will arrive Friday, April 4th. 1,000 lbs. of Channel Catfish will be split between lakes 3 and 4.

** No California State Fishing License required to fish at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.

Fishing Permit Fees

• Adult (ages 16 and over) $8.00 per day
• Junior (ages 7 to 15) $5.00 per day
• Second fishing pole stamp $3.00
• *One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
