BASS:

• John Peterson of Poway caught a 7 lb. Bass out of lake 5 on a jig.
• The water temp. is up to 72 degrees. The Bass and Bluegill are biting real well in all of the lakes especially around the boat docks and fishing docks.

CATFISH:

• Limits of Catfish are being caught out of lakes 3 and 4.
• Next stock of Catfish is due to arrive Friday, May 2. 1,000 lbs.

BLUEGILL:

• Large Bluegill spotted around the lake 5 boat dock.
• Night Fishing (registered campers only, lakes 6&7)

** No California State Fishing License required to fish at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.

Fishing Permit Fees

Adult (ages 16 and over) $8.00 per day

Junior (ages 7 to 15) $5.00 per day

Second fishing pole stamp $3.00

*One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
