BASS:

• Brian Grawey caught a 10 lb. 3 oz. Bass out of lake 7 on a Robo crawdad.
• Brian also landed a 14 lb. 9 oz. out of lake 7 and this would have broken the lake record; however it was not weighed by Park Staff. To fish lakes 6 and 7 you must be a registered camper or purchase the Lakes NEW 6 & 7 stamp for $13. This would permit you to fish all 7 lakes.
• Jason Allen of Spring Valley caught a 6 lb. Bass out of lake 5 on a plastic worm.

CATFISH:

• Our last stock of Catfish was split between lakes 2 and 4.
• Our first nightfishing event will be held this Thursday from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Lakes 1 through 4 will be open for fishing. A lantern is required and radios are not permitted.
• Next stock will arrive by Friday, May 9th. 1,000 lbs. of Catfish

** No California State Fishing License required to fish at Padre Dam’s Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.

Fishing Permit Fees

• Adult (ages 16 and over) $8.00 per day
• Junior (ages 7 to 15) $5.00 per day
• Second fishing pole stamp $3.00
• *One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
