BASS:
Jeff Narlock along with his father and his son were surprised when they hooked into a huge Bass on south lake 4. They did not have a scale on them, but the estimated weight was 8+ lbs. The whopper was lured in by a plastic crawdad. This is Jeff’s largest Bass to date.
CATFISH:
17,000 lbs. of Catfish have been stocked in the Lakes since April. The bite was good this week in lakes 2, 3 and 4. Use mackerel or worms in the AM and you should land a few. The north ends of the lakes have some weed growth, but if you can fish around it you’ll hook into some nice Cats and Bass.
Next nightfishing event will be held on Thursday, August 28th.
BLUEGILL:
The lakes are teeming with Bluegill and small Bass. This is a great time to get the young ones introduced to fishing. Pick up some mealworms from the General Store and drop a line in the lake off of one of our many fishing docks.
