Mike Long won his second consecutive Aim Marine Sunday Series
tournament, and his sixth out of the last seven overall team
tournaments. Long caught 15.11 pounds of fish, anchored by the largest
bass of the tournament at 4.55 pounds to take the top spot. The
majority of his fish were caught sight fishing a small minnow profile
swimbait made by Kamakazee Bait Company in the handicap cove of Lower
Otay.
Second place went to the father and son team of Ralph and Tyler Huberts with 14.32 pounds and the second largest bass of the contest at 4.36 pounds.
In third was the husband and wife team of Mike and Leigh McLernon with 10.15 pounds and the third biggest bass of the tournament at 3 pounds even. Mike and Leigh caught their fish drop shotting.
John and Jordan Kerr lengthened their Angler of the Year points lead with a fourth place finish. They are now 11 points ahead of Joe Aldridge and Danny Price who finished 14th.
