Crandall and Vaughan top ABA Otay field PDF Print E-mail

Tom Crandall and Bob Vaughan brought in 10.95 pounds of fish to beat the 18 team field at Otay on February 16th. They took home $1,536 for first place. Bob Palashewski and Roger Gordon finished just behind them in second with 10.27 pounds, aided by the biggest bass of the contest at 8.06 pounds. Roger caught the massive largemouth on a drop shot.

Bob and Roger took home $1,420 for second place, and the largest bass of the tournament. Just behind them with 10.24 pounds was John Kerr and Buck Buckhanan who capitalized on the recent swing of fish to the spawning beds. John reported losing a fish just over four pounds as well. Randy and Trevor Field were 4th with 9.96 pounds and Chuck Harney and Adam Hinkle rounded out the top 5 with 9.38 pounds with the second biggest bass of the contest at 5.85 pounds.

Buck Buckhanan and John Kerr took over the Angler of the Year lead by 6 points over Carl Limbrick Jr. and Dennis Green after two events. 

The next American Bass Association tournament is scheduled for March 22nd at Hodges.
