Long time San Diego team tournament angler, Keith Gunsauls returned to his old stomping grounds to assist his long-time partner Allen Tatum in capturing yet another tournament win. Keith recently moved east, and now resides in Texas but obviously has not lost his touch for mastering San Diego City Lakes. Allen and Keith had over 15 pounds, anchored by a 5 pound kicker to best the field Saturday.
The Father/Son team of John and Jordan Kerr captured second, and in the process jumped into the Anger of the Year race lead at the half-way point of the season. John Kerr has won nearly every other Angler of the Year title possible in San Diego, the last major title in San Diego for John would be the National Bass West crown. He is the reigning Angler of the Year in WON Bass, American Bass Association, and the Aim Marine Sunday Series.
John and Jordan weighed in over 14 pounds, supplemented with the largest bass of the contest which son Jordan (13 years old) caught in the last hour of the tournament, weighing in at 5.32 pounds.
