Kerr and Long Sweep WON Lake Otay Team Tournament PDF Print E-mail

John Kerr and Mike Long prove it year, after year, after year. They are a tough team to beat come springtime on Lake Otay. The team awaken from their long winter slumber, and anchored by the largest bass of the tournament, a 6.59 ponder, bested the 39 team field of WON fishermen with 15.37 pounds total weight. John and Mike also picked up a cool $3,895 for the effort.

Second place went to the father son team of Randy and Trevor Field with a big bass that weighed in at 6.11 pounds and a total weight of 14.29 pounds. The team took home $1,316.

Third place went to Jonathan Wdowiak and Rich Serra with a 10.12 bag limit for $865.

Most all of today's fish come sightfishing or fishing with reactions baits in shallow water. Most of the fishermen comment during the awards ceremony their fish had been caught on drop shots rigs.

5th Don and Donnie Riese 9.50 lbs $595.00
6th Wayne George and Wayne George Jr. 8.40 lbs $150.00
7th Bryan Sturn and Geoff Pierce 8,32 lbs $140.
8th Brent Benish and Inder Lopez 8.21 lbs $120.
9th Stu Kenson and Steve Swaggerty 8.04 lbs $120
10th Brian Hess and Adam East 7.72 lbs $40 (Angler's Arsenal Gas Cash)
