P1010108.jpgThe 2007 Holiday Bay Classic (second annual) is in the books, recorded as a success. Nearly 30 teams entered the boater division of the tournament, and another 22 anglers entered the kayak division of the Holiday Bay Classic.

Terry Hastings and Peter Hamann took top honors in the boater division with their 5 fish limit weighing 9.29 pounds anchored by the second largest bass in the division at 2.3 pounds. The big fish award went to Keith Michael who fished with Bryan Davis, which weighed 2.57 pounds and paid them $250.

Over in the kayak division, anglers competed for the largest 3 fish limit. Veteran kayak angler Will Bowen bested the 22 man field with 4.13 pounds, without the benefit of a particularly large kicker fish.

The tournament was put on by Kent Palmer and Dave Hokstad of thehookset.com, and ran out of Dana Landing on Mission Bay. Twenty percent of the entry fees, along with proceeds from the raffle were donated to Angel Tree, a charity that provides gifts to children of imprisoned parents.
