BASS

Shad baits are the way to go for DVL bass. Flukes fished with scroungers or underspins, small cranks, and ice jigs are the most reported baits. Shad jerkbiats and shallow running cranks are great for the early morning bite. Carolina rigged reapers were also working great this week. Most reports have bass holding between 25 and 35 feet.

TROUT

The surface temps have dropped slightly bringing us closer to the trout stocking conditions which may be anglers only hope for a DVL trout bite.

STRIPER

There were a few stripers caught this week. Most fish were caught at 40 feet on the west half of the lake. Little Georges, Tail Gunners, scoungers and white underspins were the most reported baits.

CATFISH

There were no catfish reports this week. The most recent catches were near the west dam and in Rawson cove. Most cut baits will be effective for cats.

PANFISH

It was a great week for panfish with plenty of 1-2 pound crappie, red ear and blue gill biting near the dams and in Rawson cove.
