The fishing has been very good this week.  Trolling is still the best way to go.  Bass fishing is really good right now.  They are fattening up for winter.  Come give it a try.  This won't last long.  This is also the time the big catfish are biting.   The days are warming up alittle but the nights are down in the 30s and 40s.  Perfect Autumn
weather to watch the wildlife (deer, turkeys, etc.) and catch a few fish.

Best Trout Lure:  Roostertails

Best Trout Bait:
 Rainbow Power Bait, nightcrawler

Best Spots:
 Lone Pine, Foxhole.

Notables:  

  • Jason Thiel, Dan Harrlin and Jesse Richardson of San Diego caught 11 Trout, the largest was 2 pounds using Roostertails from  a boat at Foxhole.
  • Sammy Mitchel, 8 years of Vista took a 2 pound Rainbow using a worm under a bobber.
  • Henry Seebold of El Cajon hookeda 13 1/2 pound Largemouth Bass using a Shiner at Lone Pine.
  • Ricardo Veled of San Diego too a 13 pound Catfish and a 3 pound Catfish using a mackeral from a  boat.
  • Wes Blanchard from Boulevard caught a nice 8 lb, 4 oz. Largemouth Bass using Rainbow Power Bait at the Lone Pine area.


JESS RANCH WILL BE BRINGING 1200 POUNDS OF THEIR QUALITY TROUT THIS WEEK AND WE ALSO ARE EXPECTING AT LEAST ONE LOAD OF DFG TROUT IN THE COMING WEEKS

THE FREE FISHING CLASS IS HELD EVERY SATURDAY AT THE LAUNCH RAMP.  RANGER CHARLIE WILL MEET YOU AT 10 AM.

THIS IS THE LAST WEEKEND FOR KAYAKS AND CANOES ON THE LAKE UNTIL MEMORIAL DAY.  

THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS BEFORE A LAUNCH.
