CATFISH: This has been a great week for catfish with many fisherman
catching their limit of 5 fish. Brendan Kling a 7 year old local boy
caught a solid four pound catfish on lake 4 using a nightcrawler.
Mackerel, meal worms and stink bait seem to be working the best for the
majority of fisherman.
BASS: Bass continue to bite regularly and are very active. The morning bite seems to produce the most activity. A lot of topwater frogs and spooks have been working great for the bigger bass hanging out in the weeds and moss. 4-5” plastic senkos have also been producing some notable catches.
BLUEGILL: The bluegill are very active being caught in all of the lakes. The bait of choice continues to be mealworms and redworms. With a bobber and a small hook these fish can be caught all day long. Keep in mind there is also a limit of 5 fish per fisherman.
