No cost in my boat. Unless of course you catch a bigger fish that I do. Then it is $10 bucks per pound. I make a lot of dough that way!

And Jimmy, be careful using the word "offering" around a preacher. I may bring the plates! ;)

Actually Kreel baskets or bait buckets would work well. =)

Please, to all, in now way is this meant to be a money making effort, I'm pleased to see that people are donating their boats and seats. If all boat owners did that for this event that would be incredible. However some may want to chip in and by themselves bait if they feel the need. I'll leave that up to the individual boats and fishermen.

Most of all we hope to have just a wonderful time and hopefully this will be an event we do regularly here in SD.

As I pm'd you, I'd be glad to join you on the water.

Also mentioned also was the hope we will have some sort of competition, it's more fun, as long at it's for free or small bucks.

I'd could donate a piece of framed art of choice to the winner. Value, $200, with a couple of non-framed ones of choice for 2nd and 3rd place - value $50 each. Maybe for any bass? Maybe halibut instead? I like the bass idea best as I like working the rocks like I do for largemouth, and they fight like crazy.

If we could make this small for fun tourney that would be fun also. Someone mentioned to me each person putting in like $5 for an offering to a Christian Charity or something.

The art that you are suggesting would be wonderfully accepted as well. This is a new event for us all, so anything will work wonderfully. However let's try and keep this all for fun and worship.

Also,

we should note that all denominations are welcome...... After all our Pastor giving the devotion is Baptist!!

Someone has to be here after the rapture to look after my boat!

There's no what on your boat? We can BBQ the Halis that you catch... or the leftover bait!

BTW, Jesus had to have been a Baptist because his cousin, John, was one. ;)

How many trips do you make per year on one of the local sportfishing boats?
