The Lake Elsinore Bass Club is putting on an awesome
tournament at Vail Lake on May 30, 2009 for the “wounded warriors”. This
“tournament” is sponsored by FLW/TBF Federation. You must be a member of FLW to
participate in this event due to the insurance. (To become a member in FLW the
cost is $25. You can register on line.) .. This event is very heart-warming, one
that you would not want to miss.
This event is strictly to offer a great
time to our service men/women that have been injured during service. There are
going to be giveaways to all of the servicemen/women and some left over for the
“angler”. The way that this event runs is that we need guys/gals with boats that
are willing to take a “wounded warrior” out on Vail Lake (no cost to the person
with the boat) and let them (up to two service persons on your boat) fish a full
day (until around 2 p.m. or so) at Vail Lake. There will be “valet”
launching/parking (done by the Lake Elsinore Bass Club) and a delicious barbecue
at the end of the event (around 2 p.m.) There is going to be a huge raffle
during the awards ceremony that all can participate in.
If your company would like to donate
something for event, the raffle or give money for a donation that will be
awarded directly to the WOUNDED WARRIOR FOUNDATION at the award ceremony, please
contact Mike Nemec at 951-775-0928 or e-mail him at michaeljnemec@yahoo.com. Last year there was not a dry
eye at the awards ceremony. Truly this is one of our favorite events of the
year.
Entry forms will be available tomorrow, January 21, 2009 at the
following places:
www.nationalbasswest.com , Anglers
Marine, (both Anaheim and San Diego stores) and Last Chance Bait and Tackle in
Hemet. This tournament is limited to the first 60 boats to sign up. Last year
all but one boat caught at least 50-60 fish during the day. It was a blast for
all. This year they are planning on making this event bigger and better than
last year.
