Smith and Woodward top WON Bass December Field Print E-mail

Cameron Smith and Brett Woodward topped the 39 team WON Bass field on December 6th at El Capitan. Cameron and Brett reported catching their 17.40 pound limit on a mix of worms, cranks, and bubba rigs on a small stretch of shoreline in El Cap's North End. Their winning bag was anchored by the second largest fish of the tournament at 4.92 pounds. Cameron and Brett walked away with $3,115 for their efforts on Saturday.

Second place went to Randy Lewis and Randy Sapp with 12.67 pounds and a big fish of 4.80 pounds, a result that earned them $965. Behind them in third place was Brian and Aaron Johnson with 11.01 pounds, good for a $635 payday. Greg Miser and Justin Iacino brought 10.27 pounds for 4th place and $540. Rounding out the top five was Ken Kruck and Mychael Turner with 10 pounds even, worth $580. 

Mike Harvey and Gary Ceiplis brought in the largest bass of the tournament at 5.67 pounds which earned them $585 from the big fish option. WON Bass' "Pick 6" option was not hit, and will carry over to their January tournament at $690.
