SDFish member, and experienced bass fisherman Adam Hinkle caught and released an 87 pound Blue Catfish from Lower Otay on Wednesday, June 3rd. This would be an impressive catch under any circumstances, but the most astonishing part - the fish was hooked and landed using 4 lb test line. Exceeding the breaking strength of the 4 lb rated line by over 20 times, the giant blue was eventually finessed to the boat, landed, weighed at the dock, and released.
