The trout bite was excellent if you were in a few select spots. It was
horrible if you were not. The bass bite slowed. A lot of bass were on
the bank but crystal clear water gave them lockjaw unless you used 4 to 6
lb. test. The better bite was in 20’ to 30’ ft of water dropshotting
purple and pink worms. Cats are starting to be caught under the bird
trees.

The trout fishing was greatly improved Friday. The same for Saturday for
those who did not mind getting wet. Sunday, the bite remains good in
all the standard places. It is a bait bite only. Trolling is marginal.
Even though we have stopped filling the lake the bass remain scattered
and fussy… No one has seriously targeted the cats.

Friday was a good day for trout fishing but after that it was a washout
for everything. The muddy water from the creek in Hermit Cove should
have produced cats but no one was fishing them. Sunday had a few
anglers but not enough to get a read on the fishing.
