I just wanted to say thank you once again for all of you who were part
of this event, whether you were a competitor, volunteer, Hookset Girl,
Sponsor, etc... We couldn't have run this event without your
generosity. You doubled the contribution to Angel Tree compared to last
year. Last year you gave $600 and this year it will be a little over
$1,200. That is awesome, especially with the difficult financial times
everyone is facing.

TheHookSet.com has scheduled their now annual Holiday Bay Classic for December 6th, 2008 on San Diego's Mission Bay. The tournament format offers both boating teams (2 anglers), and individual kayak anglers a chance to compete in a fun and rewarding spotted bay bass tournament. 3 boats fished Point Loma and points south, including Zuniga Jetty,
Imperial Beach, the Bullring, and the Coronado Islands (these last two
locations are in Mexican waters). The 1st and 2nd place finishers, Randy and Bryan, were on Randy's boat, Clouserhead, and fished the Coronado Islands for their fish.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, Beyond The Breakwater will be
holding a 3Bs catch-and-release trial tournament. It will be a
limited-entry invitational contest, based out of San Diego, and will
last just ONE DAY. Fishing starts at 6:00 AM, and ends at 1:30 PM.
