The Treasure: Mattlures HardBass Series Swimbait in Dark Largemouth Bass (floating)

Finally a baby bass lure that looks and swims just like a real baby bass. These are arguably the most realistic baby bass lures ever created. The paint jobs are taxidermy quality and require a lot more labor then ordinary lures.  Each bait is hand painted with as many as 23 layers of premium grade paints and finished off with a premium clear coat. They come in 3 different sink rates. Floating, slow sinking, and fast sinking. Each bait comes stock with stainless steel extra heavy #5 split rings and Owner ST-41 1/0 treble hooks.  Each bait comes with an extra tail.

7 1/2" Length, Weight - 3.5 oz

This is personally one of my favorite swimbaits on the market, the action on this bait is incredible and matches the aesthetics of the bait. As baby bass get aggressive on the surface chasing shad during the Summer and Fall, big bass take advantage by preying on those smaller bass, making this swimbait one of the most effective baits on the market for big bass during that time of the year.

MSRP: $59.99 (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO OR TO PURCHASE)

Treasure Hunt Details

Due to the size of this bait, a card will be placed at a hidden location within San Diego County on February 27th, 2010 immediately following the last and final clue to its location. The first lucky SDFish.com member or reader to find the card can redeem it with me in exchange for the Mattlures Hardbass Series Swimbait. Details on how to contact me to redeem your prize will be on the card.

The card will not be hidden until the last day of the hunt, so there will be no benefit to guessing its location or searching for it prior to the last clue being published. If you have kept track of all the clues, the last clue should be a relative "slam dunk" to the item's exact location.

Please DO NOT contact me, or any of the site's moderators (they will not know anyways) asking questions about where the item will be hidden, I will not respond to such questions. No additional hints will be given other than the ones published on the Treasure Hunt page of SDFish.com.

Clues will be published at random intervals leading up to the final day of the treasure hunt, with the last one being published on February 27th, 2010. Each clue will only remain published for three days at a time, so it would be wise to document the clues so you can recall them later. You are welcome to discuss the clues on our message boards with other members.

Good luck, and happy hunting!
