The most frequently asked question in our message forums is "how do I add photos to my post?" This tutorial will show you step by step how to add photos to a forum post using photobucket.com. You can click on each screen-shot to view the enlarged version.

In order for the forum to be able to display your photo in your post, the photo itself must be taken from your computer and added to the internet. The most popular website dedicated to hosting your photos (for free) is photobucket.com.

  • Go to photobucket.com and login (if you do not have an account, register and login) and click on "albums & upload" under the "my albums" menu.

  • Locate the image on your computer, highlight it and click on "Select/Submit"

  • Fill in the details on the photo. This is optional and not required to add the photos to a forum post, but it does help organize your photobucket album.

  •  Click on the thumbnail for the photo you just uploaded so that you see the full size version. To the left of the image you'll see a box titled "Share this image." Left-click your mouse in the "IMG Code" box and the text within the box will be highlighted and a pop-up saying "Copied" will appear signifying that the text has been copied.

  • Open a new tab or window in your internet browser and go to the SDFish.com Message Forums. Navigate to the forum that you want to make your post, click on "NEW THREAD" and begin to fill out your post as you would normally. Right-click inside the text box where you want the picture to appear and click "Paste."

  • The text from photobucket containing the IMG Code and Photo URL necessary for displaying the photo will now appear in your post. You can repeat these steps to add multiple photos to your post. Once you're satisfied, click "Submit" and you're done.
