  • If the idea of battling hard fighting tuna on fly fishing tackle sounds alluring, this is the trip for you. Local fly fishing outfitter The Fly Stop has a couple open spots on their upcoming 1.5 day limited-load fly fishing charter trip aboard the 65′ Fortune leaving August 30th.

If you’re a passionate fly angler, this is a great opportunity to challenge yourself against some of the strongest, hardest fighting fish on the planet. And if you’ve yet to experience the thrill of fly fishing, what better way to be introduced to the sport than fully immersed, and surrounded by capable fly anglers on a trip dedicated to the trade?

The Fly Stop is making it especially easy for conventional anglers to hop on board. They’ve teamed up with some of the biggest names in fly tackle like Sage, Redington and Rio to provide rigged and ready fly setups for your use on the trip. Specifically, you’ll have the opportunity to try the new X Series Rods and 4200 Series Reels from Sage!

The trip will leave the dock the evening of August 30th, and return on the evening of September 1st. This special trip is limited to only 10 anglers, and the 65′ Fortune is setup to comfortably accommodate 24 anglers – so there will be plenty of room onboard. The Fortune is owned and operated by Captain Bruce Smith, an avid fly angler himself, so you know you’ll be put in a position to have success on this trip.

The cost of the trip is $875 per angler. Food is included, as is an assortment of a dozen flies courtesy of The Fly Stop.

For more information, or to scoop up one of the remaining spots on this limited-load, unique opportunity charter trip, call The Fly Stop at 858-500-2671 or email them at bookit@theflystop.com.

If you’re looking for a little extra push to make that call, check out this video that Bruce Smith put together from some of the action on a fly fishing trip last summer.
