I fish the surf whenever the waves are small. Otherwise I surf or fish in Mission Bay from the float tube. It has been very hit and miss for me...

I generally fish from a float tube in Mission Bay and use a 6wt sinking shooting head with 5-6inch per second sink rate with mono running line....
