Maybe keep an old rusty 1/2 oz. spoon rigged up as a "paddleboat" deterrent bait!

Use gloves when baiting a trap. They will avoid the ones with your scent on them...
2nd car in, fished till 6pm. Water temp 70 in the morning and crept up to 74 by afternoon. Still extremely stained. Caught 30. Mostly on 4" worms....

I have yet to find a lure there with the barbs bent down.
Gaff em in the stomach. They'll lay there like a door mat.

Usually off piers or docks. Wet bread, throw in water. Use sabikis with tiny pieces of squid. I break off the little bulbs on the sabiki with pliers.
