    Much slower today. 7 largemouth to hand. 3 of them 7” or less.
    Threw top water for a solid 2.5 hours for one decent bass. @ 9am switched to baitfish patterns and got 6 more to go. All small too 13”. Water temperature came up to 71 degrees but very dirty. Just not as much life around. What a difference a day makes.
    Going back out today for a couple weeks. May check out lake havasue smallmouth

    It’s been a challenge. There is so much water to fish out here. If I keep working at it I will get it down. Producing big fish on the fly has been tough for me. I see them but I can’t get them to bite. My brother is having no problems catching quality fish on the conventional gear. Oh well I’ll keep practicing.

    Yeah and I don’t miss it. Drove to Escondido today :-(. I’m back at my happy place now

    It's easy bro, when the bass want a fly, give them a fly. When the bass wants a weedless plastic worm dragged across the bottom, give 'em the plastic worm. I may or may not have had the pangero nose hook a live sardine onto a sardina fly once or twice....
