Skunk for the past few times. Decided to give it another try this afternoon. While looking for a good spot at the beach, a gentleman gave me a bunch thumb size sand crabs. Thanks so much friendly angler. I couldn’t find any recently. Not sure where he got those. Spent around 2 hrs, caught a small stingray. At least no more skunk for me today. Life is good when on the sand. Before I mostly used SC and plastic sand worm. Would you recommend frozen shrimp? Tight line everyone!!!

Frozen shrimp works, maybe not as well as sand crabs, but certainly better than squid, for example

I like mussels cause I can get them for free off rocks. Bait thread is pretty much a must for fragile bait in the surf tho. I switch between that and SCs
