I was pretty tired from doing a lot of chores yesterday and was going to take it easy today. After some breakfast, I was still sipping on some coffee and I was debating about going to Murray for a little while. About 15 minutes later, I put on my Nike "Just Do It" shirt and decided to take my kayak down to Otay for a change of pace. I was greeted by strong gusts of wind and quickly headed into a cove. It was a little better and figured I would not go too far today and just work the tulles. I had Tokyo rigs on 2 on my rods...and Texas rigged worms on the other two. I decided to just concentrate on working the tulles with my Tokyo rigs armed with craw baits and Senkos I had 4 bass come un-buttoned(bass sure know how to use the tulles to their advantage) on hook-sets and fighting them in the tulles....but still had fun and was able to land 8 small bass today.
All of the bass were were basically clones but fought well for their size...with the help of the tulles. . I was hoping for just one fat one today......but it didn't happen. The wind calmed down for the most part and it was a beautiful morning. I am glad I decided to go and not mope around the house today....ha ha

3 other clones and this the "Dink on the Day!"
(mcfish loves seeing these. He says it helps keep me grounded.). :)

I know I could’ve waited but for some reason it was either go fishing or probably end up shopping at Target, Walmart, Costco, Ralphs or a few other places with Deb....or most likely helping her with some fun projects ...ha ha.
I made the right choice.....and later she even made Spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. It was a nice day... I’m a lucky guy. :)

She is cool but it’s funny when I am writing something on SDFISH (right now for example) and she was talking and I just said “yes” as a response and she just looked at me and said..... “you didn’t not hear a word I said.” I said I’m sorry honey but I am talking to my friends. She puts up with me....and never complains when I go fishing....like I said I am very lucky( or is it really because she doesn’t want to hear me talking constantly?). :)

Can I have one of those?? My trip to Murray yesterday paid no dividends whatsoever. Another good day for you Vinny! Haven't been to Otay since last Fall. The winds up here in Ramona were howling, so we stopped at Murray on the way back from the airport. Maybe we should have hit El Cap........Thanks for the report and pics, good job, again.:emoji_thumbsup:

Show off?.... all the bass were small. ><((((º>
1.The water was about 60-61 degrees
2.There were tons of trailers in the lot(it was full) and some in the secondary lot but I did not see that many boats...they must of all been in Harvey Arm. There were a number of kayakers out and some float tubes.
3.Shallow tulles....I never threw back deep(maybe that is where the bigger bass were no doubt).
    4. I only fished partly into Otay Arm and too lazy to go deep into it or into Harvey etc.
5.Oh yeah...pumpkin colored senkos and craw baits.
Added note: If I left the Tokyo rig in for the pics, mcfish would somehow make comments about me using foreign baits etc. so I removed the evidence.... ha ha. :)
