on Friday the call out on 16 and 72.......

Catamaran taking on water at the 226. Coast Guard Jayhawk zoomed over us as we were coming into Pt Loma about 12pm.

Also heard and then saw pictures of a Parker Capsized at the 302.

Apparently the boats were left adrift and yesterday another boat collided with the Parker at Grey-Light at the 302........

I hope the Coast Guard put a marker strobe on both as it would end somebody’s trip and perhaps some lives if one was to collide with these hazards at night or in the day for that matter.

I heard there were no fatalities. I hope scuttlebutt is true in this case......

Be careful out there boys and girls.

This is the Parker at the 302....

That looks like the catamaran to me? From what I have read it seems the catamaran was the one that capsized and the Parker his it. A user on BD is saying the Parker is in the slip next to him.

A little more detail in this thread, also sounds like the CG swamped the boat when they rolled up which ultimately led to it rolling over.

It is. Does anyone have a photo of the Parker?

Not sure which one it hit but a 48’ Hatteras collided with one of them but made it back to its slip....

Does anyone have any info if it has sunk by now,
Or have attempts be made to tow it in and salvage it?

Hitting something that small in the open ocean is really bad luck!

Copied from BD website, Found some more info!
“My bro was on the boat that picked up the crew. Not sure of the cause. But he said the CG was a ****show. They had two pumps but neither would start, nobody ready to jump in the water. When they first arrived, the Capt of the CG boat came in hot and swamped the boat. Buddy thinks it could have been saved if it didn’t get swamped. The Navy ship stopped a mile away and took their time deploying a skiff. They went to the boat, looked around, didn’t say anything and drove off. Maybe just checking if life was in danger but the crew was already off the boat and they left. Who knows. Hopefully the video loads.

A guy I went to school with owns Tow Boat US. He salvaged the catamaran and told me that a plug failed on one side while under power. He says the guy felt something wrong and stopped to investigate. Water then started coming in faster than pump could remove, and it finally rolled. Friends on Facebook, Rob posts all of his salvages on there, so that’s how I asked him about this a couple days ago.
