They cut Richard Marshall today. Hes struggled all year, but surprised they cut a DB with as few healthy ones they have.

They cut him from being burt like bad toast last game... Not even bumping Sanders on that touch down... Wow...they will be okay... It sends a message to the team. Play well or you are done.

Yeah, he has played terrible. He just doesn't look fast enough to play that position. But man, you rarely see players cut like that in the middle of the season, especially within a position of weakness on the team.

He must have REALLY played below the team's standards to get outright cut like that.

We signed the same day the DB from the redskins who had knee trouble 1.5 years ago. He was highly recruited and now is healthy. They released him and we took him.

I'll be honest...Marshall was hot garbage, he was getting worked everytime. I agree that it is rare to see them get cut like that but he deserved it.

So .... With the way the other AFC teams have stepped up ... How do we feel about the second half of the season for the Chargers?

I still love this Chargers team. They're not as good as the Broncos, but they can beat the Broncos if they're healthy and have more time to prepare.

Priority #1 is just getting everyone healthy. And then they obviously cannot afford any more significant injuries.

But this team can play ball. If Verrett, Wright, and Flowers are all healthy, they're a much different defense.

DJ Fluker needs to play better the second half too.

If the Chargers are healthy and we are on a regular week I give us a win against any team out there...if we are not healthy then I still give us a chance at a win but I wouldn't hit up the bookie.

Verrett is going to miss 2-3 weeks I guess. Not sure if the bye week is counted in that week, or they're talking 2-3 games? Has a torn labrum.

The Chargers expect to get Ryan Mathews, Manti Te'o, Jahleel Addae, Jeremiah Attaochu, and Melvin Ingram all back from injury this week.

That's real good news....The Raiders are 0 and 9, we can't take this game lite, they are going to be looking for a win. We are 5 and 4, Denver at 7 and 2, K.C. at 6 and 3 we need this divisional game.........

Yeah, when the Raiders play here these games are entertaining and I don't mean the game on the field. Back in the 90's I worked for a transportation service in S.D. and the service handle all the transportation for the N.F.L. My job every Sunday morning home game at 930am was to pick up the NFL referee's for the game at the Marriott Hotel down town in a bus. I would drive them to the west tunnel of the Q. parking lot. Driving into the stadium at about 1000am the fans would be getting drunk and rowdy. Now in the west tunnel is where the police have 2 40 passenger buses and they would bring the people they arrest, fill the buses up and take to jail. For any other teams the police only would need a 14 passenger van. The police would have both of the buses full before the game even started at 100pm. After the game when the referee were really to leave I would get a police escort out of the stadium. Only when the Raiders played...........Go Bolts.........

When we have a healthy team we win games. Bummer is Verrett is out the rest of the season and Rivers looked a little beat up. The offence has to score more points next week against the Rams. The Bolts at 6 and 4 one game back of Denver and K.C. Wow K.C's on a roll........

The oline is struggling. Hard to see much success for this team if they can't buy Rivers some time and open some holes for the running game. I was hoping they'd have replaced Ohrenberger with Watt in the bye week, but no such luck apparently.

They cut him for being burnt all the time the last 2 seasons and he was signed off the streets and never produced... did he ever even get a pick?

Oline isn't really struggling IMHO. The holes are there in the run game it's the backs that need to produce better especially oliver up the middle. I think in the c0ming years he will make the adjustments the game is probably a little fast for him and it looks like it by the moves he is making. Matthews looks good still... The pass protection is average but I blame coaching more than the players.... this a stretch where we play some some truely daunting and massive Dlines in the rams raiders chiefs san fran miami. We need to go max protect more sending allen on crosses and slants, sproliver or matthews sliding out the backfield late, dragging royal, seam and option routes to gates and to green and MUUUUUUUUUUCHHHHH more reverse action. Seriously remember when we had cam cameron as O coord and ran reverse action like almost every snap... it freezes the defense and allows more succesful plays... I dunno why we haven't given it a serious try. I know we ran 1 end around or reverse today but its few and far between.

I agree. More two tight end sets, utilizing Green and Gates together. But I am by no means a coach. Just my 2 cents.
