So, had he touched 2nd would it have been recorded as a GRD? I'm thinking not as the game was over before he could have reached bag 2.

Darn, Cashner owned by the Royals. 15-20, I have a feeling the month of May is going to bite.

Well we turned that around. We probably scored more runs in 3 games than we have in the last 12.

CQ out AGAIN. I am starting to feel bad for this guy, he needs to hang up the glove and spikes.

Yeah, bummer. The Padres put a lot of eggs in that basket.

They still need to figure out how to not be the worst hitting team in all of baseball. They're 21-24 with by far the worst offense in the league.

its amazing that we are that close to .500 being that terrible on offense.

And its not like all the pitchers are eating up the payroll...at least not the ones that are contributing the most. This team should be better. They're going to piss away the best year's of Cashner's career with a piss poor offense.

Do you think there are any Padres position players that could start on a team currently leading their division?

Seth Smith and Denorfia from an offensive perspective.

Cashner, Kennedy, Benoit, Street or any of our bullpen.

    Our pitching is unreal!

Yeah, Smith and Denorfia or Maybin who is hitting around .300 in 19 games this year .......The rest of the line up would have a hard time hitting in single A Lake Elsinore right now.......

Tommy Medica a single shy of the teams first cycle. He had his shot in the 9th.

One hit away from the cycle. All Medica needed was a single and didn't get it. It was a good game for the rookie. Been waiting a long time for the cycle and the No Hitter and the W.S. Championship and well I'm thinking about it, a Bolt's Super Bowl Win. Oh well maybe things will get better in Chicago for the team as always GO Padres.........

Can it get much worse than it is in Padres land right now? I can't even watch more than 2 or 3 innings anymore. There's nobody tearing it up in the minors but you have to think that the likes of Renfroe and Hedges could do as 'good' or better than what we have right now!

I was at the game last night for a company event. After Pedro hit that homer in the 3rd, we bailed. Its unwatchable baseball. It truly is. I am usually excited to watch, but when our 'cleanup' hitter has a sub .200 BA you tend to lose focus on the game.

I heard talks about replacing Buddy Black. I personally think that is an awful idea and would only further the downward spiral. To put in fishing terms (trying to stay relevant) hes got a snoopy push button rod and hes been thrown on a 4 pelagic trip. He doesn't have the right tools to do the job.

I don't know what the issue is, but I would like to see them shake things up a bit.

Anything is better than what we are subjected to night after night.
